During 1998 SSL completed a research, design and development programme for the electronic portion of their automated electronic door opener. Cardale Doors are the largest manufacturer of garage doors in the UK. 

SSL has continued to undertake the production of the electronic portion since September 1998.  Sales have now exceeded 20,000 units.
